Line/Prep Cook

Looking for enthusiastic staff to join our kitchen team at Toronto Ski Club. We have an action packed winter season, with live bands every Saturday for apres, midweek corporate events and a few late night member events.

Line/Prep Cooks must have 1 year of experience, have worked in a large volume and fast paced environment and are able to work on multiple stations. Please note the area you will be working in is an open style kitchen.

Job Duties

  • Provide a welcoming service atmosphere to our members with their culinary skills in cooking, presentation of meals and speed of service
  • Highly organized, can follow recipes, presentation and quality standards assigned for work stations set out by the Executive Chef
  • Follow all food handling safety guidelines
  • Be knowledgeable of equipment, preparation and handling of all food items
  • Self-driven and take pride in their work
  • High level of all culinary skills

Terms of Reference

  • Hiring for Full-Time & Part-Time, seasonal hourly position paid between $16.00 - $20.00 an hour
  • Duration: December 2019 – March 2020 (Additional training days will be required prior to start date)
  • Required to work every Saturday & Sunday
  • Additional hours will be required over Christmas, March Break & Holidays.
  • The club is CLOSED on Christmas Day and therefore staff DO NOT work.
  • All individuals must have a mode of transportation.
  • Please note we do not have staff housing for our employees.

Member Services Associate

$16.00 - $18.00 an hour

Member Services is the “nucleus” of TSC and it is vital to the TSC membership experience. The individual in the role will be known as the face of the club and will be the “go to person” for member questions around the club. The individual in this role will have to wear many hats, and ideally is very familiar with Blue Mountain.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities*

  • Member/Guest Customer Service (Assisting visiting racers, directing new members, and being knowledgeable about the layout and events at Toronto Ski Club)
  • Assist with Membership questions – (Always greet members, and reinforce our message of “Welcome to your Winter Home”)
  • Assist the hosts of the Kids/Teens Après Program
  • Running in-house Kids Après Programs that are scheduled in the calendar
  • Retail Sales and handling cash, cheques and point of sale system.
  • Assist with some member events including but not limited to registration, auctions etc.
  • Working with the team to communicate to members any events and activities that are happening at the club
  • Assist in selling club activities such as member events, programs & private lessons etc.
  • Open and/or closing Member Services by yourself
  • Answering phone calls in a professional manor
  • Other duties as assigned


  • This role reports to the Manager of Membership Sales, Events and Services.


  • Motivated, independent worker with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.

  • Knowledgeable about the Ski and Snowboard industry
  • Efficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience in Jonas is considered an asset

  • Required to work every Saturday & Sunday. Occasional Friday's if available. Additional hours will be required over Christmas Break & Holidays.

Kids Corner Attendant

$13.15 - $15.00 an hour

The perfect job for a high school student! Toronto Ski Club is seeking two individuals who are motivated, creative with crafts and activities and engage well with children aged 1m/o-11yrs. As your main duties will be interacting and looking after children throughout the day, there is an opportunity to work beyond Kids Corner. For instance, if there are no children that day, you may be asked by the Manager of Member Services to assist with Kids Apres activities that run after programs and/or Member Services duties.

Terms of Reference

  • Saturday & Sundays starting December 27th, 2019 - March 22nd, 2020, with extra hours during the Christmas and March Break.
  • Pay will vary depending on age and experience $13.15 - $15.50
  • Shifts will be overlapping between the two employees being, 9am-2:30pm or 12:30pm-5:00pm-6:00pm.
  • This position reports to the Member Service Team.

Looking for enthusiastic staff to join our team at Toronto Ski Club.

We are very busy on weekends, as well as during special events in our Marche (a cafeteria style kitchen) which caters to our members. We are seeking hard working cashiers to help the flow of business!

The position is part-time seasonal for the 2019/2020 winter season. Additional hours are offered for events, Christmas break, long weekends and March break. Candidates must be able to stand in one position for long periods of time and be focused, friendly and self starters.

**Weekends are required.

Pay is $15.00 to $15.50 depending on experience

*Please note, we are closed Christmas Day and therefore staff do NOT have to work.

Experience: Customer Service (1 Year Preferred)



At TSC we are committed to developing a passion for our sport as a “CORE” athletic value.

Preference will be given to those applicants that can demonstrate a track record of building a love of the sport in past roles.

Positions available:

  • U08 Lead Coach, U10 Lead Coach,
  • U16 SOD Cup Lead Coach
  • U14 SOD Cup assistant
  • Alpine Snowboarding Coach

TSC Lead Coaches work directly with our awesome young athletes and in addition guide the assistant coaches in their roles.

Regular programs run from Dec 27th - early March. During the competition season our weekend training takes place at Toronto Ski Club (Fridays through Sundays). We also offer; Christmas (5 days) & NY Years (3 days) and some mid-week Thursday training. Successful candidates will be responsible the Head Coach and Lead coaches within the specific age.

At the Toronto Ski Club we value Coaches who bring a well rounded ski education to the team, having qualifications that include CSIA certifications in addition to coaching credentials is an asset

These positions are secured under seasonal contract and paid a competitive rate based on qualifications and previous race/coach experience.

A background in athletic development, mental training and a clean driving abstract are assets in this application.
